Arlington Business Park offers fresh alternative to the gym

Many office workers find it difficult to squeeze exercise into their busy schedules, so global property group Goodman offered occupiers at Arlington Business Park the opportunity to get active and take part in a lunchtime fitness boot camp.
Led by fully qualified instructor Paul Sawyer from Fitness 6, the boot camp workshop consisted of 45 minute circuit training sessions, which included a range of toning and cardio fitness exercises- ideal for invigorating occupiers and leaving them revitalised and ready for an afternoon of work.
Goodman, which owns, develops and manages most of Arlington Business Park, Theale, wanted to offer customers a shared opportunity to become more active at work and continue to learn about the importance of fitness and nutrition as part of a busy lifestyle.
The workshop took place in the landscaped surroundings of Arlington Business Park next to the lake, which proved an ideal setting to calm the mind after a mornings work in the office.
Richard Potter, Property Services Director at Goodman said, “We hope the fitness workshop will have a positive impact on customers by providing an opportunity to exercise at a time that is convenient for them. As a healthy body means a healthy mind, the workout sessions provide a great outlet for customers on the park to engage in a fun activity alongside colleagues and friends and enhance the sense of community across the Park.”
Instructor Paul Sawyer started his sporting career as a professional cricketer and has 10 years of experience as a personal trainer. He runs Fitness 6 and has extensive experience in health and fitness working with a variety of clients- from local businesses and company directors to celebrities.
Paul Sawyer commented, “Throughout my career, I have learnt how important exercise and a healthy diet are for wellbeing. Working with local businesses allows me to teach people about nutrition and fitness in a fun and convenient environment which allows teams to get fit together and ultimately become more healthy, happy and productive.”
Goodman is hoping to roll out their Boot Camp initiative to other Business Park locations across the UK which will run on a 6-weekly basis until October.
