Eleven swans a swimming at Arlington Business Park

Arlington Business Park has provided space for two rapidly expanding occupiers over the past week as the resident swans hatched nine cygnets and a pair of ducks hatched seven ducklings, much to the delight of Park occupiers.
The swans have made their home at Arlington Business Park for 11 years and their offspring have become an annual event that is enjoyed by everyone at the park.
A water feature at another Goodman business park, Arlington Square, Bracknell, also provided the perfect home for a family of moorhens to hatch their chicks this year.
Richard Potter, Property Services Director of UK Business Parks for Goodman said: “We are delighted that the swans continue to flourish at Arlington, a place that has been their home for many years now. This has become an annual event here at the park, and the swans often hatch a number of cygnets which many occupiers enjoy coming to see during their lunch break.
Amongst the high quality office buildings at Arlington Business Park is an urban oasis where native plants and wildlife flourish, thanks to global property group Goodman, which owns, develops and manages most of the Park.
Potter continued: “It is important that we work closely with our customers to ensure that the building and the environment works for both them and us. We pride ourselves on creating high quality working environments in unique settings, and the urban oasis at Arlington provides our occupiers and wildlife with an enjoyable retreat.”
“Arlington Business Park has been highly recognised by the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) for its landscaping and environment, an accolade that is a testament to our success in creating quality business communities within natural surroundings.”
Set within an excellent natural setting, Arlington Business Park has over six different species of fish living amongst the plant life in the three acre lake. It is also frequently visited by a wide range of waterfowl, including the swans, which nest on site, and herons and cormorants.
Arlington Business Park is situated in Theale, close to Reading and junction 12 of the M4. It offers wide range of high quality office space, with 70,000 sq ft available at the park, and is situated around a stunning landscaped lake that provides a relaxed working environment for its occupiers, attracting companies such as Pepsi Co and KPMG.
Oxford business Park and Leeds Valley Park, which are also owned, developed and managed by Goodman both won BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries) Awards last year, demonstrating Goodman’s commitment to provide exceptional working environments for all their occupiers across the country.
